Taxfiler and HMRC client authorisation

l am having problems geting HMRC authorisation via Taxfiler for MTD for vat clients.

Keep getting message that HMRC cannot Authorise at this time. l cannot get passed this message. l have spoken to both parties but had no joy from either. All parties including myself are registered/ authorised for MTD

Can you get clients BTA login and check that and see if a VAT return is o/s? Wondering if HMRC are not expecting a VAT return at all for some reason ('gone away' address record as one eg).

Hi,
l am having problems getting HMRC to authorise/give Taxfiler access to my clients data for MTD for VAT. My clients are registered for MTD and l am authorised to file as an agent.
Just wondered if any others have had this problem, if so, how did they get round it.

yes we did. In the end got a letter from somone saying we faied to submit by MTD. A letter back told them in clear terms that it was HMRC software and the slowness of getting any response from MMA - sudenly it all started working.

It appears if you dont kick up a fuss you are ignored
