Taxfiler being transferred to IRIS

For all Taxfiler users,  I am having severe issues transferring to IRIS from Taxfiler.  I have tried multiple times to set up one of IRIS'  trial accounts, entered all details to set up this account,  pressed the 'send' button mutliple times and then nothing happens. 

I did receive an IRIS email inviting my Practice to transfer to IRIS, followed their guidance but so far have got nowhere.   I have emailed IRIS countless times but do not receive replies-just to follow their guidance.  Unfortunatele, there is no phone support which I feel would sort my problems very quickly.

 

Finally, HMRC and Companies House have authorisations in place to receive Financial Statements through Taxfiler.  Are all these authorisations automatically transferred to IRIS or must I advise all clients to have new IRIS authorisations in place?   This, of course, is of paramount importance to me.

David,

We experienced a similar issue. The IRIS welcome emails had all been blocked by the spam filter. Once we found these it was straightforward from there.

Iris users complain and complain and complain. But they don't move.

Iris are fine with you all coming on here and venting about service and prices, because you keep paying.

Well, while you all keep paying, it won't be bothering them too much.

Maybe if some of you leave, they will rethink their strategy. Until then, not much of an incentive to do so.

When setting up elements, I had to re-input the authorisation codes.
Actual submission can not be done until you are actually paying for ir.

Same here, I just added my Gateway ID and then I was able to submit the tax returns.

clients would never need to anything (normally) due to you swapping software.
likley one authorisation for all sa clients - note if you were swapping vat you may need to re authorise each client that can normally be done as part of vat return procesing though. so praticably speaking it shouldnt really be much of an inconveneince - as long as you can prove you are you if you know what i mean.

If you are unhappy with the product , don't be lethargic , just hit them where if hurts and move on , don't moan on a forum that I doubt they even care or know about

i would say if there are many peeps still to be moved over to this new system then its potentialy really useful info for others posting ones poor (or positive) experiences with iris.

Since I have switched I have been able to submit accounts to companies house.

Iris support pushed me over to taxfiler support who then proceeded to ignore me.

I'm requesting a refund for the subs and I'm definitely moving.

Migrated over to Iris yesterday, pretty simple process, took me about an hour. I had to re-input Companies House and HMRC online filing codes before I could file anything. Prefer the layout of Taxfiler but other than that it seems pretty identical.

Will stay with Iris until a better/cheaper option comes along.
