Taxfiler customers...aren't we lucky!

taxfiler customers 'no planned price rises'

Didn't find your answer?

Just got my latest missive from IRIS telling us we're all invited to use a different product with lots of unwanted bells and whistles, but the real joke was this:

You’ll also be pleased to know there are no planned price rises or changes to your terms and conditions.

You mean IRIS actually thought they might shove another increase in and then decided the 9.4% increase two months ago didn't go down too well and customers might be a tad upset if they shoved it up again?

Here's my prediction:  Taxfiler 'will still be supported' but you won't be able to to actually produce 2024 Returns on it, and instead you will have to migrate to IRIS Elements Tax & Accounts where the cost will rise next April by at least 8%.

Another fine filing product going down the pan, thanks IRIS.....

Even with an increase though it will still be cheaper than other products. Taxfiler's owners knew what they were doing, getting people in at a low price to have a customer base ripe for HG Capital. The pretence to be a software company for the small practice was a sham.

Sorry but i gave up on taxfiler ..it was much cheaper than taxcalc when I tried it , but when I ran both parallel taxcalc was more intuitive.. and had some odd results with taxfiler ..just my opinion

Big Business buys out smaller business and now increases prices whilst moving towards silly MTD deadlines , a global recession and economic crisis... shocking.

I know. It's as if tax software companies have increased costs like every other sector and increase prices to cover costs. Crazy huh?!

Interesting prediction - will bookmark this thread to come back to next year and see where we are!

This did make me laugh too. I have been considering moving from Taxfiler to tax calc for some time. mainly because you cannot edit the name on nominal ledgers. The nominals on taxfiler are so limiting that they don't even suit most very basic companies.

I had hoped the new Iris elements version allowed the name on nominal ledgers to be amended so i decided to do the 30 day trial to find out. The new elements version is almost identical to the old Taxfiler so no they can't.

On the bright side since it is so similar they might actually keep taxfiler running for the foreseeable as it is essentially the same software so wont need separate support.

Price rises will be the final nail and reason i leave them though
