What changes in Taxfiler should we expect to see now when IRIS owns it?

Who is the "We" delighted to make the annoucement? Iris presumably?

Taxfiler customers won't be at all delighted. Iris has a long and inglorious record of taking over smaller products and [***] things up. This is the fourth time that it's happened to me. I'll probably stick round until the price hike but I'm already looking.

I doubt that you understand the depth of feeling against your company.

i would imagine that its the Directors of Taxfiler who are delighted as they have probably just trousered a few £1m by selling out, whilst probably not made a bean up to that point.

I'm dismayed that Taxfiler is being hoovered up by Iris. I used it as a cheap filing option after HMRC stopped agents using their software to file Corporation Tax returns. It was a good way of keeping costs down especially for fledgling businesses. I'll expect massive price hikes and poor service until I find another provider.

Well as you asked......this means we will begin the search for an alternative provider of tax and accounts software.

I have no doubt Taxfiler like others acquired by IRIS, will become much more expensive and irrelevant within a short period of time. Kashflow being the most recent comes to mind.

Good luck to the guys that developed the product. I bet they're 'over the moon' to use footballing parlance.

Iris will simply double the price within 3 years and this not good news for us. I look forward seeing the MD at show tomorrow maybe nothing will change.
