The Olympic games-A showground for drugs cheats?

Didn't find your answer?

Are the Olympic games good for business except for the drugs business?Do you watch the OG or do you think they are a big undemocratic expensive white elephant?

White elephant

But then ... I'm not very interested in it.

Is it turning into a money game the same as football?, ie. the countries that 'invest' the most money in their athletes get the best results?

I personally think hosting the games is fantastic and an absolute honour, one which none of us will see again in our lifetimes Im sure.  The feel good factor around London is there for everyone to see, perhaps with the exception of the people who cant use the Olympic lanes and are late for meetings but its only a couple of weeks!

I think we should be proud of the fact that we are hosting the games for the third time and I cannot wait until next week when I will be there watching the athletics!

Go Team GB!

But its a slap in the face for East Londoners when 9BN can be spent on an Oly Stad which makes their situation worse as there is less land for housing and more congestion. They have also been inconvenienced in relocating businesses. No thanks said in opening ceremony for sacrifice paid by ELs.

I'm informed that we got the Games thanks to two idiots on the voting panel oressing our button instead of that of France which they had been told to do. Image the state of the French economy if they had got it .Do you think that would qualify for a ECB bail out.?

The spoof documentary 20-12 has been right so far - there is no legacy only locked up decaying buildings with rust stains down the walls like Greece.

Canada has only just finished paying for the 1979 games and they were relatively cheap.

Cameron states the Games were "on time and on Budget". Anyone can be on Budget if you keep on increasing the Budget.

Was I the only person in England that didn't watch the opening "Ceremony"

However from what I read this morning it was the usual mismash and an embarassment to our great country

Enough

@ Bernard

No you weren't the only one not watching the opening ceremony! My bed (after a long day's painting) was more appealing than cringing and sitting for hours. I'm going to watch some events though & I think there's some beach volleyball on today which could be worth five mins viewing - purely to wake me from my paint-induced coma I might add and not for any pleasure :)

Drug cheat wins 250km cycling-ultimate insult.

If you were convicted of a drugs offence you would not be offerred a job,so why are sportsmen different who have previously been banned for drugs use?

Its like a fox guarding the chicken house! Its a Crazy world.
