Thinking of purchasing Keytime software

Thinking of purchasing Keytime software

Didn't find your answer?

Wondered if anyone has used keytime software for accounts filing and corporation tax return.

Wanted your opinion before I go ahead and purchase it.

Been with Keytime

since 2008. A very honest and reliable provider. Exceptional staff and software support, in my opinion. If you're a sole practitioner and, you're looking for hassle free software and support, I can't speak highly enough of this company.

I have; Accounts production, corporation, personal and trust tax modules and, only last week, I asked for assistance to transfer data from one computer to another. The lady who supported the transfer completed the task within a matter of minutes.

Yes, they do go that extra mile and, refreshingly these days, they really do enjoy it.

Me too

I've used Keytime for years and agree with the last poster totally. I would add that their pricing structure doesn't depend on client numbers which is important for us as we prepare a large number of relatively straightforward tax returns.

Another user

I would like to share my experience about using keytime as well. Although i am new to the program ( 3 months) but i cannot fault the technical staff and the whole team. They held my hands during the initial stages and I am now enjoying the software. Most importantly, they know the software doesn't tick all boxes and they are listening to ideas and willing to make changes. (then again, is there any program that does?)

Another happy customer
We moved to keytime over a year ago now. We moved from Digita. The main reason for the change was problems Digita was having with iXBRL and the price increases quoted by Digita for adding an additional user and more clients.

We are very happy since moving and having used other software over the years am not currently considering anything different.

Yes the software is not perfect and there is room for improvement but they seem to be improving things.

Thanks

I would be interested to know what problems do users face on keytime.  I like the fact it is very easy to use but do want to be faced with bugs when deadlines are approaching.

Used it since 2008
We've used key time accounts production, self assessment and corporation tax since we set up practice in 2008.

The online filing has always been excellent and the switch to ixbrl was absolutely seamless.

Initially we were a little unhappy with flexibility of reporting options and presentation but it really has come on leaps and bounds

We've not experienced any problems or bugs that have made us miss a deadline even during really heavy usage in January.

I'm happy to second the above

To clarify the situation. In 2008 I'd just moved to Keytime and, in my view, they did have some issues with accounts production and presentation in particular. However, they were honest, listened to suggestions and, subsequently, improved beyond expectations. They really will listen to you, if you take the time to speak to them.

I really haven't had any issues with the suite, since those initial stages, which are now 5 years ago.

Keytime is quite a modern age success story and I truly can't speak too highly of them.

Great

Yes I do like it and will buy it.  Just wondered why it never gets any mention on accounting web whenever there is a question on practice software - always VT and Tax calc.

One issue I have seen is the uploading of the TB into quickbooks.  It readily accepts Sage TB and a few others but not  VT and quickbooks which does involved some manipulation.  It would be a first class product if it did accept these two accounting software.

Keytime

From our daily discussions with firms Keytime is still very much a good, not too expensive suite and very popular. We have a number of users we host that enjoy this software. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk to anyone...
