I do my invoicing based on time recording software that I downloaded from JustMakeShitUp.com.

Toggl is free for teams of up to 5 people, v v easy to use and has brilliant reporting.

For what size of company, how many users?

I agree that Toggl is a great app to use as a timer. I recently produced a guide on my favourite business apps.
