UC - Is this right?

Taxation

Didn't find your answer?

Am I right in this. Client received universal credit during his own and his wife's unemployment. It is broken down into UC for the couple, and then a separate component for childcare.

If they had received JSA it would be taxable, but from what I can see, UC is not taxable at all. Is this right?

Thank you. I read it, but I didn't trust it (I rarely trust anything on gov.uk). Happy days for the client, then. Zero tax where there would have otherwise been a tax liability.
