Unable to access "VAT for Agents" in ASA!

Spent 90 minutes talking to advisors over three phone calls, still unable to resolve this issue!

I signed in to my Agent Services Account to request VAT agent authorisation from a client. When I clicked on access service link "VAT for Agents", page came up with nothing but below error message:

"Sorry, the Service is unavailable, IMPORTANT: This service has been withdrawn. You can no longer use this service to submit VAT returns, view submitted returns, view your account, or change any account details. For more details, read the ‘Important information’ section on this page." 

There wasn't any "Important Information" available on the page.

During my three phone calls lasting 90 minutes, none of the three HMRC advisors I spoke to could not help, first two just putting me on hold indefinitely, I ended call after holding for over 20 minutes. Third one, after checking through various information, asked me to clear cache from browser or change browser. I did both, but this didn't resolve the issue. As per her suggestion I clicked on "Help with Page" link on sign in page and sent a message about the issue. I was suppose to receive respone in two days, after four days I am still waiting!

Did anyone expereince this issue? Please help me with any advise. Thanks

My guess is that you tried the old version of VAT for agents.

Thanks Paul, I believe this is new version as I created this Agent Service Account in February this year. None of the advisors said anything to suggest this could be a possible cause. Is there any way to find out?

The new system will have a different Log in
The old system will show all the other items, Self-assessment and Corporation tax etc.

Nothing wrong with the "new" system - This is definatley the message/response from using the "old" account.

Log off, shut down the browser and then try to log on to the "new" ASA.

You need to use and save the link to login to the ASA as it is different.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. It appears I needed to use the specific link for new ASA login. For some reason, none of three HMRC advisors I spoke could not help me with this query!
