Use of home as office

Can a director of several companies make a claim for use of home as an office for each company?

Didn't find your answer?

My client is a director of two property companies and the accounts for each company include an expense for the use of home as an office (£4 per week).  There is no separate office or other premises at which the director works.  Is there anything stopping a claim being allowed for each company or should it be restricted somehow e.g. disallowed in one company or a proportion taken in each?

Each company needs somewhere to work. I’d claim it twice. In fact, I’m fairly sure that I did for my 2 companies before I had an office.
