User Reviews Wanted for Manuonline and Sage

Client is looking for Cloud ERP to integrate with Sage Business Cloud, Manuonline looks promising.

Didn't find your answer?

I have a small manufacturing client who we have set up on Sage 50c, we have been running a basic MRP operation for them using the Sales Order Processing, BOMs, Purchase Order Processing etc.  However they are now looking at having a separate system that can hopefully automate a bit more of the process than we can acheive with Sage 50c.

I have looked over a lot of options for MRP that can operate in the cloud and that does not require either the client or myself having to take on another full time employee just to operate it, it looks as though Manuonline standard edition integrating with Sage Business Cloud will fit the bill.

I can only find a couple of user reviews for the program and they are all by Xero users, does anyone on here have a manufacturing client who uses this software who can provide a user review.

If not, does anyone have a manufacturing client who uses another cloud MRP software that integrates with Sage Business Cloud which is user friendly and does not require an IT background to use it.

Hi PamDill,

By the sounds of your article, we would definitely have a solution that would help your client. I work for a UK software author called The Access Group supplying manufacturing companies with MRP systems as well as planning and scheduling, warehouse management etc. A high number of our existing MRP clients use Sage 50 and the process is seamless and we can also host the solution for you as well.

I would be really keen to explore this with you further. Could we look to book a call together to discuss?

Kind Regards,

Can't say I've heard of Manuonline. Looking at their website and product videos it looks dated and isn't properly integrated into Xero (it's manual) and so it may well be unlikely to be well integrated with SBCA.

Bear in mind any half decent cloud product builds for Xero first, then QBO (unless they're US based in which case it's vice versa) and then, well, Sage and many other products are a significant afterthought.

You also have another issue in so far as the switch from 50c to SBCA is a significant step down so you may well lose other features, not replaced by the implementation of MRP alongside.

The above issues are the major downsides of sticking with Sage products.

I'm also not sure what kind of system you're looking for - the features you've mentioned are basic stock control features, which appear in Unleashed, Cin7, Dear etc. You then mention MRP and ERP which would include things like production scheduling and resource management. Features not present in the aforementioned and for which you would need to step up to a significantly more expensive product, of which there are many to choose from.

Whichever way you or the client chooses to go will need a significant investment of time and I'd recommend using an implementation expert to assist as data extraction from Sage 50c, particularly around the stock information is pretty horrific.

Given that Sage have announced End Of Life for Sage50 Manufacturing, I think many manufacturing & distribution business may be looking for a new MRP/ERP software option that works with Sage50.

I'd suggest your client has a look at Sapmanv12 ; a Sage developer that's been around for 20+ years & several of my clients are using it. It covers the bases of SoP, PoP & BoMs and a lot more. There is a simple graphic on the front of their web-site sapmanv12.co.uk that shows the areas covered.

Hope that helps!
