Hi< I work for a tour operator and some time we get override commission from airlines thats based on acheving quarterly sales targets. Some Airlines are based based in UK like BA and some overseas like Malaysian Air. They calculate the commission and pay us by bank tranfer. Do we have to pay vat on the commission received from them ?? The confusion i have is that flights are Exempt/Zero rated supplies and destinations are outside Europe like carribbean and middleeast so basicaly its override/commission on exempt supplies. Please do not mix up this with profit on the holiday booking.
