Just spoken to VAT online Services - website throwing Agents out so unable to file VAT returns.
Spoken to Lady who says they know there is an issue - however pointed out that there is no known service issues listed on their website.
She says I will get a call back after 48 hours if the issue is not resoved. If it is resolved I wont get a call back.
This means another pile of paperwork to stack on my desk while I wait 2 days before I can file the returns.
What is the point os service issue section if they do not put anything on there.
Hope they get it fixed soon - otherwise I bet we will get penalty notices etc and have to appeal against them.
MTD - get the current system up to sratch first!

So the onus is on us to check if it's working, as they won't tell us if it is, only if it isn't. But of course we'd know that if we'd checked anyway.

Its been like this since I tried to submit a VAT return at 10am today, so presumably another untested release went live overnight.
