VAT rate for Goods from non Vat EU supplier?

Which VAT rate in Xero for Goods Purchased from an EU Supplier that’s not VAT registered?

Didn't find your answer?

Within Xero, which VAT rate do I use for Purchases of Goods from an EU Supplier that is not VAT registered?

Do I select EC acquisitions 20% or EC acquisitions zero rated??

I know it should be EC 20% if the EU supplier has a VAT number, but what if they don’t have one?

The VAT status of the supplier is utterly irrelevant. What matters is the rate of VAT that applies to a UK supply of the goods.

That what I was thinking. It’s standard rate in the uk. So I should use EC 20% yes?

Depends what you're buying, a key piece of information which you chose to keep to yourself.

20% Acquistion VAT, in box 2 of your Return, and then reclaimed in box 4.
