How many times are you planning on asking the same question?

You claim to have an accountant so would have thought the best course of action was to speak to them.
They will always send to the address shown on your vat registration certificate . If you ever move you always need to specifically update hvat office ref change - online or vat vat484 paper form.
Note hmrc are often now defaulting to sending messages to gateway acount linked to your vat number. Highly recomendable to ensure you have access to vat account online (via gateway/ business tax acount) so you are not out of the loop ref messages that may may be available via that gateway (if it exists)
Why not call HMRC and ask them (or use the webchat facility), they should be able to confirm receipt of your return and if the return has gone for extended verification, they should be able to confirm that too.
It does work. You have to be patient. But thought you said you had an Accountant.
Either way, asking on here is not going to get you a different answer.
Webchat does work, yes you have to wait and refresh the screen but it does work.
I use webchat almost daily, you are not going to get your VAT refund unless you speak or webchat with HMRC, so keep trying.
If you do not have faith in your accountant, best get a new one
If you have a big first refund, expect it to be reviewed before repayment
If you ignored the message saying check your Gov Gateway, the delay could well be your own fault
Your agent should not have access to your Gov Gateway. He does not know what you have been sent
Reading your prior history
You have moved to Dubai
If HMRC get returned post everything goes on hold
Where is all the stuff you bought with VAT on in such a short time
Not unreasonable for HMRC to look to defend the public purse
Simple system to resolve is to deduct the refund from your next payment

I suspect the OP has had their VAT account locked because they've left the UK and will be unable to file any more VAT returns.
OP will have to call HMRC and reactivate their account, they've been told this previously. If they do not want to call or webchat with HMRC, then it does raise the question as to why they don't want to call HMRC and chase this up.
The live chat does work, I use it daily, what you mean is you don't want to keep coming back to the web page every few minutes....which is okay but is not the same as saying it doesn't work, it does work, it just requires patience.
That would be my expectation
VAT locked up and no activity until a proper contact with HMRC
We have had two
Assumed both times something paper sent to old address caused it
We went through all clients after that and corrected any incorrect addresses
Can easily overlook contact details with all stuff being done on line now
