VAT Relief

Didn't find your answer?

I own a VAT registered business selling furniture, I am now selling Adjustable beds for elderly/dissabled people.

If I sell to somebody who has a disability they will be eligable to not pay the VAT on this, so my question is...is there a form that I need to fill in to give to my accountants to say that I did not charge VAT on this certain transaction?

Would appreciate comments.

Sort of.

You need to get a declaration from the customer to say what their disability is.

Read this. Carefully. It's a minefield.

Why not ask your accountant?

The beds have to be designed specifically for disabled persons. The rules are not straightforward!
