Good Afternoon,
I have alot of old old Sage Backup ending with .001 which we want to open and these files are nearly 10 years old.
We currently have Sage 50 Accounts but we can't a way to view them.
Any suggestions?

All sage backups have .001 after them, unless you delete that narrative.
Its the sage type and version that is important.
Some folk may be able to assist, but in truth you may have a corrupted file, who knows, hence why Sage is the best option, if your existing accountant does not have access.
Best bet is ask Sage obviously.
If you're convinced the file is 'good', then it can be restored to an old version of Sage (like if its version 2010, it could be restored to 2013 version) and brought forward that way.
I've done it once. Version 2005 restored to 2008 version, then backed up, restored to 2011 etc etc.
AdeptTools have a freeware program that will analyse a backup and, in particular, tell you which version of Sage the backup was created from. This might give you a starting point to follow up on thevaliant's idea.
