I use Virgin Media TV & phone at home, and this morning received a very realistic appearing email. I have checked with Virgin and it appears to be a known recent scam email. I thought I'd share this in case any of you receive a similar one.
The email is headed - "Your latest Virgin Media bill cannot be processed" and goes on to say that your services will be disconnected if you do not update your details, and of course, provides a link.
Hovering the mouse over the senders name gives the senders email. Instead of [email protected], it actually gives the address [email protected].

You are lucky indeed if you've only ever seen one scam email of this nature. I get about a dozen a week.
Thanks for that K McLeod. We're seen an uptick in scam emails or 'phishing' recently, whether it's internet service providers, invoices or HMRC. As you point out, the best thing you can do is double-check the sender's email address.
It is better to send the e-mails to "Junk" and then block it rather than just delete them
