You have got to be joking! On that basis I'll nominate Aweb.

You seem to be getting very chippy about what is supposed to be a bit of fun Justin.

Don't panic, I will put a word in for you for the "most thanks of own posts" award.

Or perhaps the "most indignant that my o/s EBT loan is being taxed" award.

I vote that you don't vote on this category, if you didn't realise Justin's line was comedic...

Oh God so am I. Please don't vote on the basis of my serious posts ..... any way I can tag them so you know? Panic over I didn't make any.

Don't worry, Justin. You were my write in vote. I love the links you copy and paste and how easily you're aggravated by everything. It's a wonderful bit you do.

Why are there no Pauls? I thought Paul the Midlands' leading Insolvency Practitioner worthy of a few votes. (And that's why I've just voted for him a few times.)

I shouldn't think he'll win as most of his posts have been deleted. And I don't think he was intentionally comical. Still, I could listen to him all day.

Shouldn’t ‘Anonymous’ be an option? Some of those OPs are seriously funny.

I'm probably reading too much into the testing criterion, but:

There may be another award for the comedy thread; this one is specifically (and IMHO a bit strangely) for people breaking wind during a serious discussion sort of behaviour.

Yes, especially if it during a zoom call and loud enough to highlight the perpetrator as the speaker!

Am I missing something here - when you click on to vote there is only a name to choose not a specific post, so we are voting for the person we think is generally the biggest clown?

Not the biggest (in my mind, DJKL is 2.4m tall, Arthur Putey looks like Mr Anchovy and - well, I'll leave you to wonder about the others); the clowniest.

Casually strolling around with a Caber over one shoulder, swigging from a deep-fried 2 litre Irn Bru bottle?

You have both got it wrong, I am 2.4 metres round not tall and if having to deal with one caber I would likely put on my protective gear and power up my Stihl so that soon there would be 25 logs. The one bit correct is the Irn Bru, though diet these days.

So you're a tubby Sean Connery then?

With a chainsaw. And you're not a t*sser.

I still don't think the Jester cap would fit you, DJKL.

Maybe there isn't a separate category for Chaucer-inspired quotery and tweakage of song-lyrics. Maybe comedy encompasses such activity - it must be broader than jestering and clownfoolery.

Should this be Humour, or possibly light relief

Comedy sounds a bit less than an award, more a raspberry

Comedy value - Sift. Freeloaders - many of their comments, crazy ideas/schemes and strops. That guy from Derby.

Humourous folk - lots on here. Some fabulous one liners that cheer up the day.

Portia.

Off topic, but I've recently discovered a twitter feed from Mr Roger Quimbly (sic). His tweets often make me laugh which is quite a high bar.

Bob Loblaw. If only for his reply to the 64-8 thread today. But also for sharing a while back how he spends lockdown.

Someone mentioned Twitter. Imagaine the carnage if accountants took to it.
