VT Accounts - Dividends Paid

VT Accounts - Dividends Paid

Didn't find your answer?

Hi, I'm just starting with VT using Manual Entries in the Trial Balance.

It is a small company period commencing pre- 6/4/08.

In the TB, under which side heading do I enter Dividends Paid during the period?

I can't seem to get this amount, (£9,000) to show on the Profit & Loss no matter whether I enter it to Equity or Non-Equity Dividends.

Many thanks

Don

equity dividends

Dividends should be shown under the 'equity dividends' sub-heading under profit and loss account in the balance sheet - almost at the end of the trial balance.

Under the FRSSE, effective for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2005, dividends are no longer shown on the face of the profit and loss account - VT will tell you this somewhere on the history tab.

There is also help on this on VT's website at http://www.vtsoftware.co.uk/support/dividends.htm
