We finally have access to client's PAYE payments!

Looks like HMRC have given agents the ability to see client's PAYE payments and balance outstanding

Didn't find your answer?

This move will probably cut the number of calls agents and clients make to HMRC, and so save everyone a lot of time.

I just need to take some time to figure out what unallocated debits and credits mean.

I wonder when this came online?

Is there a way to see the same for VAT in the Agents Services Account?

It's completely luck of the draw. Some of us can, some of us can't.

I'd rather HMRC get current systems working before moving on to others.

Ah so GR is probably eligible for the "Beta" version that is not available to many accountants?

It's been available for some agents for years and remains entirely unavailable to others. HMRC did publish the criteria on which the determination was made as to who can see the information and who can't, but it was wrong so as far as we know it remains entirely random as to whether or not you can access this.

That's interesting. I was about to say that they introduced this years ago, but from what you say it was only to lucky people like me.

From memory i think the cutoff was 100 or was it 200 paye schemes on the system that they allowed people to join the beta?

to say i am slightly jealous would be putting it mildly.

We have had this for some time (a couple of years?)- it arrived completely out of the blue and unannounced.
But have nowhere near 100 Paye clients.

I have had it for a few years, I can’t think how I would have coped in the case of a few clients who can never get the reference correct for the specific month being paid. It seems completely immoral to exclude some agents, apart from causing more telephone calls to the helpline. And as for how the payments get allocated, don’t get me started

That is the criteria to which I was referring. That's what HMRC said but it is not true, there's several people on here with a lot more than that who have access.

Let there be light!

Our access has gone live today, so now we can see what a mess HMRC have made of allocations and where they've dipped into unallocated corporation tax and ad hoc vat payments

Oh the joy

All we need now is access to the VAT accounts and MGD accounts that actually make sense and add up

Thanks for that update dul50n - perhaps there is hope after all that they are now moving everyone over to having this info being made available ?

Can you confirm that you didnt actively do anything to get this access and if you can confirm the info is showing up in the old school agent area not the new MTD agent services account? cheers

Not quite like that
There is a first page that gets access to the record
But only if not limited

Then I get thown into the old system to be able to claim CJRS
No consistency at all when completed one and trying to get the next claim done

It was one of those rarest things, a pleasant surprise from HMRC this morning, didn't actively pursue it

The old Gateway now presents itself in the new style dumbed down big lettering style with links to various services, some of which still dump you into the old style Gateway

We now have to deal with authorising a handful of clients that were only authorised with an FBI2 granting limited authorisation so we can't see their PAYE accounts at the moment

I also got transferred to the Beta version same day
Made CJRS claims more time consuming today

Outrageuosly HMRC of all people suggesting that failure to delete ex clients will breach GDPR
Who writes this stuff for them?

And I now agree that the items on display are clearly careless
One Pub trader has a month not paid, £1300 or so with month before and after paid but over £5,900 unallocated
Another recently had a letter showing £27 credit having never paid anything as we keep below the limits

That said is better than the old no information at all system
