Website development costs and VAT deregistration

does it count as an asset

How would you treat Website development costs if you were to deregister for VAT, include in the assets and repay the VAT claimed, or call it a service that has been and gone?

What's the resale value of the website ?

I'm guessing it's low.

Yes that as what I was thinking, probably worth virtually nothing on the open market
