We're a general practice using Xero, QBO, Freeagent and other cloud based products to provide a virtual finance department for SMEs. We're considering appointing a Business Development Manager to win new clients, drawing on the business model used by accounting software vendors ie a qualified accountant who wins us new business (ie NOT just lead generation) . Does anyone have experince of using this approach? Did it work? Any ideas on how to attract an individiual to undertake such a role?
