It's clearly all to do with this site's dreadful new format. Please can we have the old format back?

I am in mourning for an old friend who passed away on Friday. The friend was a little old fashioned and not up to speed with modern technology, but we had some great chats.

I hope that old friend will return, but in my heart I know that will not be possible.

Today is Ascension day, apparently, so you never know what could happen..

Sorry to hear about your friend. There are losses you can get over, but other losses you simply cannot.

If I can't get over a loss can I use it against my Ltd Co's income tax?

Hopefully the quieter it is, the more likely sift and the powers that be will listen to us.

Well, if they are like me, they have struggled to log in! My automatic login ceased when the site was updated and I have had a bit of a problem logging in since then.

Wonder why I bothered trying so hard...

So how come Portia's universal answer popped in in front of my comment? That will make threads very difficult to follow - always assuming there is a logic to the continuity in the first place

It's because she quoted sumbdy.

It's the ideal way to have your comments glossed over if you come to them too late.

Another carp improvement.

All this white space is doing my head in. Seeing the questions seems to be much harder. I used to use the most recently answered list more than anything else as I might want to keep an eye on something without actually posting - I miss it.

And if there's so much unused space, why can't we have a bigger reply box?

I hope I'll get used it but, at the moment, every time I look at it, it winds me up so I might stay away for a while. Maybe it's me and I'm just not down with the kids enough to deal with this layout!

You might find the site easier to use if you use your monitor in a portrait, rather than landscape, rotation Cathy!

Tried that - I have one of each and it jumbles the page even more
