What is CO CC charge for paying HMRC

What is the Company Credit Card charge for paying HMRC Corporation Tax and VAT?

Didn't find your answer?

I can see everywhere that paying certain taxes with company credit card attracts non refundable fees by HMRC. But it doesn't say how much.

What are the typical fees for corporate credit card used to pay for VAT and Corporation Tax?

As you've presumably discovered:
"There’s a fee if you pay by corporate credit card or corporate debit card;
There’s no fee if you pay by personal debit card;
You cannot pay by personal credit card."

There are also a variety of other ways to pay them - including:
- through your online bank account;
- online or telephone banking by Faster Payments or CHAPS;
- online or telephone banking by Bacs;
- at your bank or building society;
- Direct Debit.
... so why take the option that carries a transaction charge/fee?

TBH I can't recall even whether it's a fixed fee or a %age - but if you're determined to go that route then I'm sure the portal will tell you before you confirm payment.

Looked this up for a client recently. The reason you cannot find an answer easily is because the charge is determined by whoever issued the card. So you need to ask your card provider what they would charge for this service.

I see! Well I managed to find headforpoints forums for my Credit card (capital on tap, visa infinite business) and recentish post suggests it was a 1.7% fee on a £1000 payment.

So other similar queries likely to be answered on the headforpoints forum too.

Anyway I think I will stick with direct debits then.
