What is the best way to set up a direct debit

I am trying to use GoCardless for International Payments without success

Didn't find your answer?

I have tried to set up a direct debit on GoCardless using the IBAN number on the client's foreign bank statement

This has not proved successful and I am unable to get a response from their Support Desk or by calling them

Does anyone have a similar experience and have they succeeeded? Alternatively, can anyone please suggest an alternative

solution?

I have the signed mandate from the client, so I do have authorisation

Thanks in advance

Might be a daft question but are you on the right level of GC service for this to be able to work?

Also you dont mention which country/method of collection so you need to check these match. Eg SEPA D/D doesnt cover everywhere.

Hi JoF
its not a daft question at all
Thanks very much for your reply.
I don't know what you mean by the right level of GC service but I can't seem to get any response at all from GC.
I do use them regularly for UK collections

The client's bank account is in Poland which I believe is covered by SEPA. Do you know how I can set up this payment using SEPA as I can't find the process on GC

Hi Andrew
Go Cardless offer 3 levels of service - standard, plus and pro. So you/your client might not be on the right one to access international D/D. Ive just had a client say they need to go on paper D/D mandates for just 1 of their customers, but to do that they would need to move from std to pro! Dont think they will want to do that. I suspect this might be the issue you are having.

Levels https://gocardless.com/pricing?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_camp...

Ticket responses seem to be slow at the moment with GC - normally a day/two - I have one clients o/s now for 4 days! Doesnt even seen to be a complex issue. Might be worth calling them?

Anyway, yes Poland comes under Sepa.
