What's the right SIC code to use when contracting?

About to start working through a limited company and want to get SIC code correct

Didn't find your answer?

Search AccountingWEB

Hi all,

I am about to create a limited company in order to work as a contractor and I was wondering what you guys would advise I put as the SIC code.

I was thinking to use 62901 but wasn't sure if this would look like I'm holding myself out to be an accountant which would be against ACCA Regulation 8.

If there is anybody here who works/has worked as an accountancy contractor what did you use?

Thank you in advance

*caveat : in the normal course of activities, for what I imagine you’ll be doing.

I agree, there are instances when it’ll get picked up, say if you’re getting finance for something such as a commercial BTL mortgage.

I think you mean 69201 but perhaps 69202 Book-keeping Activities might be more appropriate.

I thought that. There's nothing like attention to detail is there?
