Where can I find a State Pension Calculator

Client has 32 years contributions - worth paying Class 3

Didn't find your answer?

Client has 32 full years contribution but is unlikely to make any further contribution before state retirement age.  The personal tax account anticipates a full pension assuming a further 3 years contributions will be made, which is unlikely.  I am trying to calculate whether it is worth the client paying 3 years Class 3 contributions.

Does anyone know of a calculator that will show the state pension for 32 years contributions?

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give

You'll need his date of death, of course.

The way I look at it is, if he doesn't pay and it turns out to be the wrong decision, he'll complain. But if he pays and makes the wrong decision, he won't.

And to complicate the calculation, does he have a spouse with more years/entitlement and might she predecease?

Frankly more years the merrier as far as I am concerned, who knows what further changes might be made by our politicians re required qualifying years in the future. (Especially given the current splurging on HMG's credit card)

How close is he to actually retiring ?

Does he fancy doing a bit of eBay trading for three years ?
