Who's put in their tender to Niall Quinn's scheme?

Ex-footballer Niall Quinn is looking for accountants to support his customers

Didn't find your answer?

Ex-footballer Niall Quinn is looking for accountants to support his customers. He is fronting a new online shopping platform.

In his own words: “It’s a community, a movement, a statement that we care. We care for our children, our planet, the animals and the air we all breath. Why wouldn’t you join?” Niall Quinn, MBE

There is a tender process and a refundable fee payable. I don't know how much the fee is. I wondered if anyone had gone down this process and had any feedback for our jolly community?

Here's my helpful link: https://tender.iimpact.com/accountants-tender/

You weren't flattered?

"We have selected you due to your demonstrated proficiency as an accountant."

I got that spam too!

No idea who Niall Quinn might be (I don't do football) but I am guessing he knows nothing of what I assume is some sort of advance fee fraud.

Isn't it obvious?

"The world’s first fully sustainable shopping experience platform. The Impact Shopping platform allows shoppers to offset their environmental impact with a positive difference by contributing revenue to sustainable energy innovations."

The fee is £495, I clicked on signup then looked in the shopping basket. Retailers signing up to the shopping channel also pay a fee, and receive a minimum 10% commission on the products they stock in their virtual store, which are then supplied by the shopping channel.

It would seem that Niall Quinn is a former Premier League player and was also chairman of Sunderland FC at one point. He's not listed as a shareholder or Director and I suspect he is just a frontman for the scheme. He was also involved in a very similar scheme called Moshoppa but I don't think that did too well.

Personally I wouldn't touch this with a bargepole.

"A fully digital, online accountant system"

Either they do not want human accountants ,only digital ones, or they intended to write "accountancy" not "accountant"

Dickie Armour here, I'm helping to run the tender process for the Impact Shopping platform.
Here's my number if anyone wants to discuss any aspect:
0203 962 1746

We believe this is an incredibly exciting opportunity for retailers, brands and shoppers to play their part in combatting climate change.

We have brand new online shop owners who have never run a business before and will need the services of bookkeepers and accountants.

Hence us inviting accountants to apply to our tender process.

Yes, Niall Quinn is involved and NOT just as a frontman.
There are some great videos here which tell the whole story:

Please give me a call if you'd like more information.

Uhhu, but don't online shop owners have to post up their contact details? (In which event what's to stop bookkeepers and accountants from contacting them without going through your tender process?)

Is Dickie Armour your real name? It's got the old girl in the corner cackling, although we're not quite sure why.

Yes, it's his real name. Carry on like that and Mr Armour will think you are not a serious prospect.

As I understand it, the shop folk have to have an accountant on board before they are allowed to step on the platform.

It is for my other half.

Edinburgh is not an issue, she just meets up with her Mother (who could shop for Scotland, maybe she did but did not get caps merely hats)- they do a quick perambulation along Princes Street followed by a spot of lunch.

But when we are away on holiday in Sweden I have to take my kindle shopping. Drive an hour to Orebro, spend say twenty minutes looking at machines in the local Jula/snow blower shop, then a carry out coffee and sit in car whilst she looks at every clothes shop in the centre for two hours, we meet up for lunch then I drive home for an hour listening to the post match analysis re what she bought for our grown up children who have more clothes than they can hang up.

Big Niall was a decent player for the Mackems, him and Kevin Phillips kept them in the premiership for some time.

Not sure about his business skills, but he was decent in the air.

As a loyal toon fan I was not invited into this exclusive money making club.

Appreciate the lack of judgement.
