Why do I have to keep logging in?

Why do I have to keep logging in?

Didn't find your answer?

Why do I have to keep logging in? On the old site I don't think I had to log in once after the first time. Now I have to re-login every couple of days.

Oh and the font is too big and there's too much scrolling around.

Darn kids, get off my lawn!

I agree with you on the first part, that is very frustrating and is happening to me too.

Hi mwngiol,

Have just spoken to our development team about this issue as I was also logged out over the weekend. Apparently it's a known issue and a fix being applied tomorrow should solve it. Will keep you posted...

Tom

Thanks Tom. Can you speak to them again please and tell them your font is too big?

If a member of Sift has suffered the problem, you can bet it will be sorted sooner rather than never.

The font's fine. If you zoom out a bit, the site seems to remember your setting when you come back to the site. I'm on 67%.

I wonder if my experience is typical. When I first started using this site, it took a bit of getting used to but I didn't find a lot of the problems that others were having. I was using windows 7. Over the weekend Microsoft kindly installed Windows 10, which I hadn't asked for and didn't want, but when I came on to the site I did find a lot of the problems that others were complaining about i.e. loads of adverts, screen jumping about et cetera. I have uninstalled windows 10 and reinstalled windows 7 and the problems I was having with Windows 10 have disappeared!

Only until Microsoft insist on installing Win10 on your computer again - and they will.

No they won't - unless you're stupid enough to allow your PC to automatically install all updates

most business when they "improve" something they make it better - not all I'll grant you, eg Cadbury's - but accountingweb seem to have messed up so many things they can't cope. they must like scrolling and looking at big blobs.

There are specialist websites for looking at big blobs.

Or so I'm told...

But what about small blobs and bloggers ... especially those that are scrolled all over the small blobs and large blobs.

If I zoom out to about 75% the site becomes more readable. The problem is every other website is then tiny and unreadable, is there a way around this?

I'd rather have a decent website again.

That's not going to happen. Accountingweb don't do "better". They only do "worse"= but it's very fashionable among certain people you know - eg. people who don't actually use the site! Gary Turner was very gushing about the new site but I've not seen him lately. I don't know whether that's due to him avoiding the site or me avoiding the site.

I'm still having to log in every few days - did the fix for this make it in to the site?
