No, it isn't you Portia and, may I take this opportunity to wish you a very Peaceful and Happy New Year.
Over an extended period, I've made representations to Tom Herbert and, others in the food chain within Aweb all, seemingly dismissed, often with the "explanation" (sic) that Aweb is a free forum, which picks up its "referrals" from search engines such as Google etc.
I can see that. However, there is no lead in time, for new "members" who often; join Aweb and, immediately, ask what can become questions, which involve argument and a good deal of ridicule and "falling out".
I'm sure many of us on here, are with you Portia but how often do you seriously want to bang your head, against the brick wall?
These days, I try to involve myself less and less on here. It really makes no difference to the Aweb team, whether you contribute or not. As you would say Portia, 5h1t, they care not!
Don't think of them as "anonymous morons". Sift think of them as new users that they can tell advertisers have signed up for the premier website for finance professionals.
Morons indeed! You mean flesh assets to be mined and sold to pay for the new carpet at Sift Towers.
I'm completely baffled as to how Sift get their advertising income. We've got 217 (at present) reads on this thread. I had cause recently to go back to one of my contributions around 6 years ago on a subject which eludes me. It had 11,500 reads! Good luck to Sift if they're actually make a profit out of this drivel.
Oh - be fair, Portia.
It's not just the anonymous ones.
There was a guy on here yesterday who didn't know what a holiday was.
On the other hand......I've had PMs from Anonymous peeps as well as fully fledged named members who fear posting questions for fear of pejorative answers from morons.
Has anyone else spotted the irony in the use of the name "Sift"?
Unlike Ronseal, it most certainly does not do what it says on the tin.
