Working from home

A future problem ??

Didn't find your answer?

What a pain. It isn't normally a problem.

The Working from Home Allowance is going to be a default item on a lot of tax returns we prepare this tax year. How many weeks worked?, Were you required to or not? Were you reimbursed costs by your employer - if not how much were they? etc etc

Just a rant

It's going to be claimed; some will be valid, some not. For the amounts involved though in most cases HMRC will not bother - it just is not worth the staff time cost. There is going to be lots of tax & loan fraud with the virus, about which we can do nothing. Don't bang your head against the wall.
