I have several clients who use Xero and want to have users who are office based who can raise invoices and enter sales receipts to keep that side of things up to date in between me doing my monthly management accounts.
I cannot see a way around restricting users and still enabling them to edit entries, without them being able to access the bank account. Is there anyone out there who has experience of this? It will be a huge disappointment to many if this cannot be done as Xero seemed to be the ideal package.
Thank you in anticipation!

The "invoice only" user roles don't give access to the bank accounts as far as I am aware.

There are a couple of levels of Invoice only and those with Approve and Pay access can add payments, but not access the bank accounts
Those with Sales Invoice Only- Approve & Pay access will not be able to access the bank account, but can manually add a payment to the invoice if they know it has been paid. Of course they will not be able to reconcile it, but someone else will presumably do that.
"To edit a paid invoice, the receipt has to be voided first". No it doesn't. You need to remove the payment using Remove & Redo feature, amend the invoice, then add the payment again.
