Xero Accreditation

How to do the last 50%

Didn't find your answer?

Why is the Xero training so difficult to access? Their wretched video which purports how to gain access to it of course doesn't explain well enough and I wasted a good 20 minutes trying to get started. So I've done 50%. I'm now faced with "Classroom" "webinar" (at times no good for me) or "onsite". I chose onsite, although not clear what exactly that means and nothing moved forward. So I'm once again in limbo and feeling rather aggressive. I've sent a query to Support, but goodness knows when I'll get an answer or if I'll understand their answer.
Can anyone explain to me what the "onsite" training means, and whether it is distance learning or if it really means I have to get on a boat to NZ.  And what do you recommend for a distance learning person.
And a happy NEW YEAR!!

wouldn't getting on a plane to NZ be more sensible than getting on a boat?

Onsite regarding training normally means that they send someone to you.

thanks - that means I have to give up a day to this, and I think it's diabolical.

just do the webinars or even watch the product updates each month as I think you get 3 points for each one.

I just do them on a night whilst watching TV

I wanted bother with on site as Imagine there is a cost also.

Thank you Glenn - I've finally found where the webinars are and have been going through those. As you say, I can then do them in the evenings. Maybe I'm just one of the thicker users, but the layout for the training screens where you first select something is awful
As I predicted I got a hopeless answer re my query from support which didn't answer the question and indicated they hadn't read the question or perhaps didn't know the answer so that was totally useless.

If I remember correctly it took me a while to get them. I think the website is www.xero.csod.com for the accreditation

its saved in my browser now but it wasn't obvious at the time. On the webinars you can have a go at the questions first if you know them to save you watching the videos.

Firstly, I am sorry that you have not had a great experience finding the Xero education.

Xero education is all available at www.xero.com/uk/training. This is the hub of all of the education available for accountants, bookkeepers and small businesses. There are 3 certifications on offer - Advisor, Payroll and Migration certification ( They are all housed under the heading of Get certification)

As you quite rightly say, we offer three main options as far as Advisor Certification is concerned - Webinar, Classroom or eLearning. If you would like to come along to one of the classroom days there is still availability on 8th Feb and 29th March.

If you would prefer to attend one of the webinars, they are running on 17th, 25th, 29th Jan, 6th, 14th, 22nd, 26th Feb or 6th, 13th, 22nd or 27th March.

Obviously with eLearning you can register and work through the content at your own speed.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Vikki I am concerned that you haven't understood my point at all, just like your support team. You also don't seem to understand that Webinar/Classroom is hopeless for those of us who have to work during the day.
The whole design of the screen for eLearning is truly awful. If one of the Xero data entry screens was that badly designed you'd get lots of users going elsewhere. Why don't you address that particular issue and do us accountants a favour?

Be fair some people do like to go to CPD courses/conferences offsite, or use webinars during the working day (i notice you posted several times during 'office hours' so even you manage the odd break...)

E-learning all the way - piece of cake and great for staff to fit around 'real' work.
