Anybody else been forced into Xero's pilot of sending clients a newsletter of their choosing and if so what are your thoughts?
First newsletter they are competing with our existing services by trying to sell their analytics. Not very nice considering its us who pays the Xero subs!

That's different to forcing you onto a pilot though, surely?
They are just emailing their users (the client presumably being users, having a login).
Do the Xero terms and conditions actually allow them to do this? I thought marketing material (which this undoubtedly is) would require some form of explicit consent. You cannot consent on behalf of clients, so you cannot grant them the right to do this.
Hey all, thanks for the feedback so far - that's the intention of the pilot and we're interested to see where there's crossover. Our team are keen to hear more - what you specifically like and dislike :) Thanks.
I'm sorry ... I don't even use Xero, but that has to be the most tone-deaf response I've ever seen (and manages to convey nothing - what "crossover"?)!
