to have the whole page link to their bl--dy advert? I have seen it about ten times now and I STILL don't want it!

Agreed
and hovering over parts of it seems to take you to their website, extremely irritating
.
Like it or not - its working. I got diverted to their site and was shown their products and prices in what was quite an impressive website. Very clear and clean.
We dont use taxcalc (CCH, terrible) , but if I was going solo I would be interested in taxcalc now that I have seen the price.
It's Good, Though
I have used TaxCalc for a couple of years - works very well for me as a sole practitioner. I have to say their friendliness and willingness to help won me over.
No regrets
Maybe it's my settings or something but..
I can't see the advert you're talking about. Good thing too, because intrusive advertising is one of my pet hates.
I understand that free websites need income streams, but those adverts that 'activate' when you merely move your mouse over them accidentally are very annoying.
What advert?
I don't know what you are talking about! Perhaps it is because I use Firefox as a browser and have installed Adblock Plus.
I'm not normally bothered
with adverts enough to install an ad-blocker, but this one is so intrusive, I'm off to adblock my Firefox!
Thanks Euan for the link.
How to stop ads
Richard
I did hunt around for this ad and coudn't find it. Then it occured to me - I have Adblock Plus as an add in to my Firefox browser. This strips out all ads on any web page so I don't see the TaxCalc ad, or any other on most websites.
It makes looking at the online newspapers much more appealing.
Worth a try if you're a Firefox user.
