Hi this year I intend to go to a few trade style shows and seminars as I wish to fine tune my practice and embrace new technologies and developments in the industry.
I have kept my diary clear for Accountex in May which I intend to go to.
Firstly doing from the North I am not a big fan of London so wouldn't mind some advice on travel arrangements.
I am travelling down on the Tuesday night so that I am there sharp and fresh when it opens.
The flights I can get get me I to Heathrow which as I understand it will take 2 hours to get to Dockland.
As alternative I can get train to Kings Cross which I am assuming is nearer and less of tube ride.
Which is best idea I will getting in at 8.00pm.
Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel in walking distance of the Excel?
Also does anyone fancy meeting up on the Wednesday night for a few Britneys and can anyone at Sift Media hook us up with
Some VIP action, I hear China Whites has an accountant special on a Wednesday.
Cheers I am looking forward to my trip to the Smoke.

Digita
Why dont you arrange a visit to Digita as well? Their offices are in Canary Wharf.
Doing my duty
@Glennzy - it would have been good to catch up, unfortunately I've been called for Jury Service that week, so evenings will be for catching up on work :(
Good for Digita
Digita isn't at Accountex.
It's not just Clear Books that see it as an expensive waste of money then?

I spoke to a number of exhibitors last year who had gritted their teeth and paid the charges only because "it's expected that we'll be here"
Don't!!!
If you are going to the Docklands fly to City airport.
Don't fly to London City Airport. The nearest airport you can fly from is Edinburgh.
Digita & Xero
I wasn't looking for "Thomson Reuters"! I also see that Xero will be there.
So it is just you then Peter?
Accountex has gone from strength to strength helping companies meet face to face with their all important clients whilst at the same time giving them a choice of 150 CPD seminars and workshops all for the ticket price of £0.00
A lot of passion and hard work goes into a trade show such as this and with a 70% rebook of companies and continued growth we aim to keep delivering value. Perhaps if you didn't succeed at the show you should reevaluate how you "engadge", it's all about people skills and you haven't won a fan here.
Fans not money, clients or whatever you meant!
No problem.
Paul's a good guy - I like most things about him - except his politics!
