How old is my PC?
That's going to be interesting. They are apparently going to define a "support lifetime" for each device - the speculation is maybe 4 years for a desktop. Well, my desktop is like Grandpa's hammer. The case, power supply, motherboard & processor, RAM, graphics card, disks, optical drive and front USB ports are all different ages, between less than a year and probably 8 years or more! I suppose the motherboard would have to be the "device" in that case.
What support means
In this context "support" means Windows Updates - security patches and bug fixes. I certainly wouldn't want to use an OS that didn't get that.
