Over the coming weeks we will be revealing more on how the new AccountingWEB site is coming together.

First up, we would like to explain a little about the changes happening in the blog section.

Blogs are at the heart of the AccountingWEB community. They represent every facet of practitioners’ day-to-day life: from life working in the trenches of office, to sharing knowledge, and advice from some of the profession’s experts.

Because blogs are integral to the AccountingWEB community, you will soon find them sitting under the ‘Community’ header on the navigation bar.

Like now, the blogs will have a dedicated page for members to showcase their knowledge or talk about their day in the office.

Our regular bloggers will also notice a slight change in where they can find their previous blogs.

Right now, if you write a blog, all your posts are archived on your blog’s home page. Typically on this page, the blogger will describe what their loyal readers can expect from their regular musings.

From the relaunch, all blog posts will be collected on the blogger’s public profile page. So, AccountingWEB members will not only be able to view previous comments and replies, but they can also see all your previous blogs grouped together in one convenient place.

If you are a regular blogger, you will have to copy the description you currently use on your blog home page, and then add this to your Bio, in your user account, in preparation for the new site.

Make sure you remember to do this as your Blogs profile page will no longer exist after the re-launch

Below, we have mocked up what your user profile will look like on the new site, showing the new blog tab which will contain all your blog posts.

Look out for more information about the AccountingWEB redesign over the coming weeks. So stay tuned!

And after...

My fault for letting that slip through, Glennzy. Don't worry, you still have plenty of time to update your user profile.

Unanswered questions

Well and good. Some key questions remain unanswered, the points I raised in the previous blog. Feedback is asked for, but there is no response on these. Why?
