This week I take a look at the recent case of Ross v HMRC [2014] UKFTT 292 (TC), in which a tax tribunal upheld the decision to issue a penalty after taxpayer Derek Ross failed to pay his PAYE on time.

Watch the video below to hear my views on the case, taskforces and other issues concerning HMRC. Leave a comment below to let me know what you think about the case.

Transcript

Would be good to get a transcript of this. Watching videos is very time consuming.

I agree

I don't have speakers in my computer so being able to read it would be helpful.  Also I can read faster than the person talking.

Here's how to easily get your transcript from your youtube video

You may already know the easiest way to pull a transcript from a youtube video, but just in case you do not here's how.

Go to the video that you have created via your "uploads" tab or button in your youtube account. Click the "Captions" tab above the videoNotice below the "Active Tracks" there will be an automatically created English set of captions that Google created.Click it, notice the "Actions" button now showing above it.Click it and choose ".srt", it will download the list.Go to the file that has been downloaded (probably called "captions.srt") and change is extension to ".txt" (e.g. captions.txt)Open the file copy->paste into your blogTidy it upEt viola!

Hope it helps, all the best,
