Happy Halloween to all who celebrate it, and to those who don't, happy Friday and end of October! We've got a jam packed 9am Lowdown this morning, with some scary tales from RBS, EY and the Rugby World Cup 2015 and more.

RBS sets aside £400m

A frightful morning for the bank, as it announced it set aside £400m for potential costs from an investigation into alleged manipulation of the foreign exchange market.

The provision was revealed in its third quarter results and follows Barclays' decision yesterday to set aside £500m, the BBC said

The bank also is leaning toward appointing EY as its auditor which leads us onto our next story.

Argh, only a week to go!

It's one of the scariest stories of the week... well, for potential conference delegates that is.

There's only a week left to go to our Practice Excellence Conference in London and workshops are filling up fast.

Miss out at your peril.

There's a great discussion on Any Answers today about Halloween - so comment on there or below telling us what you or your firm is up to for the day! Have a spooky weekend.
