The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is to start a disciplinary hearing into a complaint made about the auditor of Worthington Nicholls Group, the heating, ventilation and air conditioning group.
The hearing concerns a complaint made about Paul Newsham, an ICAEW member who audited the financial statements of the Worthington Nicholls Group and its predecessor businesses.
The disciplinary hearing is scheduled to start on 19 May and will last for three weeks.
Last year, the FRC investigated the conduct of Sixonethreeone Limited (formerly known as HWCA Limited) and of Paul Newsham as auditors to Worthington Nicholls Group following a formal complaint that they fell short of standards expected of ICAEW members.
The allegations about the financial year ended 30 September 2004 relate to Newsham.
