iSoft audit failure cost Robson Rhodes £1m

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has revealed details of the £1m penalties imposed on RSM Robson Rhodes following an investigation into accounting irregularities at failed NHS software supplier iSoft.

The Disciplinary Tribunal Report was not published at the time following the November 2011 hearing into RSM Robson Rhodes and former audit partner Glyn Williams because of ongoing criminal proceedings.

However the high-profile prosecution brought against former directors of iSoft was terminated last month and the FRC’s Conduct Committee decided that it was in the public interest to publish the report.
