Lord Green in running for FRC chairman role

Ex-trade minister and former chairman of HSBC bank Lord Green is a candidate to become the next chairman of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

Green retired as government trade minister in December. He is understood to have been interviewed as a potential successor to Baroness Hogg, who announced her retirement as chairman of the UK reporting watchdog in May last year.
