Paul Boyle to stand down as CEO of FRC

The Financial Reporting Council has announced Paul Boyles decision to stand down as chief executive. Boyle, appointed to CEO at the same time the Council saw its responsibilities substantially expanded in the Spring of 2004, will remain in post until his successor has been appointed. It is expected that he will leave for good on the summer, the FRC said.

The Council has now begun to put in train the process for appointing his successor. Sir Christopher Hogg, FRC chairman, said that he greatly appreciated the strong leadership Paul has given but I have long been aware that is was likely he would want to move on after a five year tenure and that remains the position.
