Returning to the Practice World

Hello folks. For personal reasons, I have not been working for about 3 years.

This was due NOT to an injury or sickness. I was caring for a parent for two years. The third year, I was sorting myself out.

Work was getting done and the practice was ticking along. Thankfully, it still is.

Client losses have not been replaced by client gains. To my surprise, I am still doing okay.

What’s next?

I want to return to some form of normality. As you may have seen on AA, I was and still am thinking about leasing my small retail unit.

I am in two minds. The heart is saying no and the logic is saying yes.

The key advantage is the separation of work and home an office creates. That is helpful for one's wellbeing.

At the same time. as you know well, COVID has changed the working world. The justification for a retail unit is no longer there.

Real-life, sadly, does not offer neat solutions. There is always a price to pay whichever option is chosen.

I will give it time and then decide. I have just returned to work properly this week.

I need to avoid making rash decisions.

Take time to think. Lots going on per your various postings.
Worth talking to staff, see what they think.

Do not rush and regret

What will you do with your employee if you dont have your office?

She seems very hard working.
