There's always been a certain rivalry between our ancient and august profession and our legal cousins and we all know from our clients and our own experience how solicitors manage to complicate the simplest and most straightforward of transaction.
The very public argument leads me to ask 2 questions:
1) How on earth could the EU legal team they allow such a contract to be signed ?
2) How much did they charge for such lousy advice ?
The answers are :
1) We all know how the EU operates , so enough said here
2) They are probably employed in-house on a fat salary out of line with the value they add so don't give two hoots
Am I cynical or realistic ?
