Today is a big day on AccountingWEB.co.uk, and not just because of tonight’s live election debate on TV. One member who is unlikely to take much notice of the event is our Tax Editor, Rebecca Benneyworth, who started her first course of chemotherapy for breast cancer today.

The treatment is likely to mean that her involvement on the site will be somewhat intermittent over the next month or so, but she is tackling this challenge with the same good humour and no-nonsense approach that she brings to all of her tax work. On behalf of her tens of thousands of AccountingWEB followers and lecture delegates we wish her the very best during her treatment and look forward to seeing Rebecca apply her remarkable powers to achieving a strong and lasting recovery.
