Like a lot of my peer group (40 somethings) I had a home computer in the 80's. In my case the Sinclair Spectrum. Browsing the Maplins catalogue, as one does, I saw that there is an updated version released. It looks like the original rubber button one, but connects wirelessly to today's tech - and doubles as a wireless keyboard.
Anyway - I have one on order as a Christmas present.
In other tech news - I have bought a Rasberry Pi kit for my 9 year old. Hopefully that will be fun too.

Daley Thompson's decathalon
I can remember breaking the keyboard playing this game.
May have to buy one to show the kids what they missed out on!
I've still got an original ZX Spectrum 48k in my parents' loft along with hundreds of games (unless they've been thrown out).
I remember Decathlon. You had to keep repeatedly bashing Z and X to get him to run or waggle the Kempston joystick to get Daley to run.
My favourite had to be Elite, although the lens lock anti-piracy device could be a pain.
