What the Victorians did for us!

My favourite factual programme of the holiday has been Victorian Bakers at Christmas. Many things were a suprise:

The Huntley and Palmer biscuit factory had their own railway sidings and locomotives.

Nice biscuits are so named because of the Italian city - not how they tasted.

The Victorians originally celebrated Christmas for 12 days until Jan 6th.

And, lastly, Father Christmas turned red in colour long before Coca Cola was invented - I had assumed it was just to match the advertising of the drink.

I recommend getting it on catch up.

I am also looking forward to watching the Flying Scotsman on the Severn Valley Railway tomorrow.

Being away from my day job, I have also done a little light bookkeeping for one of my handful of very small clients - just for fun!
